It provides comprehensive identification details, including a full-colour gemstone image, physical and tested data, gemstone identification, and opinion on thermal enhancement or CIGS colour type if applicable.
Special Color Reports
Colour types encompass a range affected by various factors like cutting, clarity, pleochroism, and fluorescence. "Out of gamut" colours are not reproducible. Special colour terms are not awarded for treated gemstones. CIGS grades this colour range for both heat-treated and unheated gemstones.

Beryllium Treatment

Stone Heat Treatment Testing

Heat treatment, a common industry practice, improves clarity and colour without using chemicals. Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectrophotometer is a crucial tool for detecting gemstone treatments.
